Every time you play a game you get, directly or not, consciously or not, in contact with various cultural elements. And you are empowered by them. The same goes for any individual person or any collective entity you may think of; in any period and any place. The question is whether both you and all these people in the past have also been manipulated, hegemonized, or even culturally violated through games.
